Answered Questions #2

Through  researching,
I've learned that pollution can cause lung cancer. Smog is bad for an environment, and has been known to cause car accidents. I've also learned about pollution in other states and countries. Pollution in China is so bad most people have difficulties breathing. I've even learned about other topics like obesity and poaching. Obesity can lower a persons life span. Poachers use certain tools to cut through animal skin to get horns. I've also found out pollution and global warming are connected in various ways. They both are conflicts in the world and they're both caused by humans. Pollution is the main cause of global warming.

I think organizing the Tri-Fold board to make everything fit was difficult at first. I overcame this by conversing with my partner and soon found out where to place and glue the print-outs.

Answered Qusetions

  1. People can live and work together by working out their differences with words and not violence. They can also share resources with others that do not have a large supply of them. People can live and work together by communicating with one another. In order to live and work with other citizens people shouldn't judge them by their looks, perspectives, or choices in life.
  2. Many things help to shape our opinions, beliefs, and values. A person's childhood is a main reason that shapes someones thoughts. Cultures and religions forms opinions about life styles. The type of music you listen to can form your opinions. The clothes, shoes, or accessories you wear can build an opinion and can also show others what your culture might value. Some examples may include gold, rings, and jewelry. The amount of money you have access to as a child can also influence your beliefs and values, and can determine what is important to you. For example someone who is unwealthy as a child may be more thankful for money given to them as an adult. Although someone who has always had money may be greedy and unthankful for what is given.

Perspectives on Pollution

I have found four different perspectives on pollution. Some people in the USA think pollution is terrible but haven't done anything to reduce it or stop it. Others think pollution is a huge global conflict that needs to be solve and have participated in worldwide litter clean up groups. Basically all farmers think water pollution needs to come to an end. Most people in China find it difficult to breathe due to all the air pollution. They suggest that the issue comes to an end.
I strongly agree with the thoughts and perspectives of people in the USA, in China, and the farmers. I realize that their opinions state that we should make a difference and why we should and I completely agree with their statements. Although I disagree with the people in the USA who haven't done anything to reduce the conflict. I believe if you want a change in the way you live, you should make a difference in how you live.
There are many different ways to reduce the levels of air, water, and environmental pollution. You can always pick up litter you find somewhere. You can also ride a bike or walk instead of driving a car. You can start to recycle to reuse materials instead of throwing them away. People should be extra willing to do these things in order to save the planet.

Pollution

I choose pollution as my topic for my project. I choose this conflict because I already knew this was a huge problem many countries face in the world. This topic seemed difficult but not way too difficult. I think a challenge will help me learn more about the topic. Another reason I choose this conflict is because some of my fellow classmates already knew some information on my topic. I also wanted to know what I can do to reduce pollution and save the environment. An important reason I choose this topic is because I think it will help people understand how we are all damaging the planet and how we can do something to stop it.
